I apply it with a damp finger every morning. One press for daytime, two for evening. Lasts much longer than I expected.
Aker fassi is a traditional Moroccan colour cosmetic, used across the country
for generations. Dried poppy petals are ground and blended with clay, then
pressed into a small pot. Water activates the pigment, which is why the pot
looks dusty and dry until you touch it with a damp fingertip.
It reacts slightly with the pH of your skin, so the exact tone varies from
person to person — usually somewhere between a soft berry flush and a deep
rose-red. Most people land in a warm rose. Build more layers for depth.
It's a single shade that sits in the rose-red family, and it reads differently
depending on your skin. Sheer application suits lighter tones; deeper tones
tend to look best with two or three layers.
The formula is clay-based, so the finish is matte rather than glossy. If you
prefer a softer feel, apply a balm first, let it settle, then press the colour
on top.
How it works
1. Add a little water
Mist the pot or dampen your fingertip — either works.
2. Swirl over the pot
Pick up colour directly from the surface of the clay.
3. Press onto lips or cheeks
Build layers until you reach the depth you want.
One press of colour. Nothing else.

My grandmother used this. Seeing it sold properly packaged and shipped to me in London made me emotional honestly.
I use it on my cheeks too and it looks completely natural. People keep asking what blush I'm wearing.
The pot is so beautiful I keep it on my desk. The colour is a deep rose that works on my medium skin tone perfectly.
Beautiful colour, very pigmented. I put a balm on first because my lips are quite dry, after that it's perfect.
Tried it for the first time and immediately ordered a second pot. The texture is unlike anything I've bought in a pharmacy.
Took me two tries to get the water ratio right but once I did the application was smooth. Colour is gorgeous.
I'm Moroccan and this is the real thing. Same smell, same texture, same colour as what my mother keeps at home. Worth every penny.
Minimalist, natural, effective. I've thrown out three lip products since this arrived. One pot does everything.
I've been using aker fassi for years on visits to Morocco, finding it this easy to order is a game changer. The colour is exactly right.
The colour is more orange-red than pink on my light skin. I actually love it but worth knowing if you wanted a cool-toned rose.
Came beautifully packaged. The clay pot feels handmade and heavy in a good way. Colour builds really nicely.
I've tried three brands selling aker fassi online. This is the best quality by far — the pigment is deeply stained into the clay.
Used it as blush for a wedding and received so many compliments. It photographs beautifully, very natural in flash.
Shipping was fast and the pot arrived intact, well wrapped. The colour is exactly as shown. Would have liked a small instruction card.
My skin is quite dark and the rose-red reads beautifully — very rich and warm. I apply two layers and it's stunning.
